In 1999, under the guidance of Rotarians Gary Larese and Mike Curran, in cooperation with Southwick-Tolland Regional High School, an Interact Club was formed. Interact is a Rotary - sponsored service club for young people aged 14 to 18.

Interact benefits its young members, the sponsoring Rotary club, and the community where the club serves. Through Interact, young people develop initiative, leadership skills, and lasting friendships. The Rotary club gains a service partner, as well as an opportunity to prepare its community's youth for future leadership.

Each year, the Interact club works on two major projects. One project  will serve Southwick-Tolland Regional High School, and the other will help promote international understanding.

In March of 1999, the Interact Club, which consisted of over 45 high school students from Southwick-Tolland Regional High School, was officially charted by Rotary International District Governor Robert F. L. MacDonald. A certificate of Organization was presented to the officers, and Interact banner, and lapel pins for each member of the club. This club will join more than 50,000 other Interact members in over 2,400 clubs in 69 countries and geographical areas. Rotary International launched the world wide program in 1962.

Activities performed by the Southwick Interact Club include mentoring, a reading program at Woodland School, Talent Show, and a house in India build for disadvantaged citizens.
